RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION
RECORDING REQUESTED BY AND SPECIAL PERMITS
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on
said application on January 25 , 1993 , at which time said
application was denied;
WHEREAS, this matter was appealed to City Council
and a hearing thereon held on February 17 , 1993 , at which
time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written
materials and testimony presented at said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this
Council that:
1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted
and reviewed, and comments received and addressed by this council, it
is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that the project
set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and
a Categorical Exemption, Sec. 15303 Class 3(e) New construction of
small structures, is hereby approved.
2. Said special permits are approved, subject to the conditions
set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Findings for such special
permits are as set forth in the minutes and recording of said meeting.
3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this
resolution be recorded in the official records of the County of San
Mateo.

Conditions of approval,
special permits, 916 Park
Avenue (effective February 18, 1993)
1. that the garage as built shall not exceed 500 SF including the
area for the toilet, sink and/or laundry and the toilet and sink
shall never be expanded to a full bath;
2. that the finish material used on the sloping portions of the roof
shall be nonreflective as approved by the Chief Building Inspector
and City Planner;
3. that the highest point on the new roof of the detached garage
shall not exceed 14'-0" from adjacent grade and that the framing
shall be surveyed to confirm this elevation and the survey
accepted by the City Engineer before the final framing inspection
is called for and the roofing material is attached;
4. that the existing garage and shed shall be demolished and no other
accessory structure, other than the replacement garage, shall be
constructed or placed on the site;
5. that the new garage shall be available for use to park cars off
street at the time of final inspection of,the work on the second
floor addition;
6. that the detached garage may not be used as an accessory living
unit, recreation area or for a home occupation and the sink and
toilet facilities shall not be used to serve any accessory living
use; and
7. that the project as built shall meet all the requirements of the
Burlingame zoning ordinance, except for a half bath in the garage,
and of the Uniform Building and Uniform Fire Codes as amended by
the City of Burlingame.
