RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
REQUESTING THAT THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION
REVIEW AND APPROVE EXTENSION OF WATER SERVICES
TO BURLINGAME HILLS
RESOLVED, by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of
Burlingame, that:
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame desires to initiate
proceedings pursuant to the Cortese -Knox Local Government
Reorganization Act of 1985, commencing with Section 56000 of the
California Government Code, for the review and approval of
extension of water services to the Burlingame Hills, pursuant to
56133 of said code; and
WHEREAS, a description of the boundaries of the territory
which is the subject of said proceeding is set forth in the
application therefore and by this reference is incorporated herein;
and
WHEREAS, the proposal is consistent with the sphere of
influence of any affected cities and districts; and
WHEREAS, the reasons for the proposed review and approval
of extension of water service to the Burlingame Hills are to comply
with the requirements of Government Code Section 56133 in a single
application, thereby saving the public agencies and the individual
property owners considerable expenditures of time and money if
applications were done individually as the subject area develops;
WHEREAS, this Council certifies that on the basis of the
Initial Study and any comments received that there is no
substantial evidence that the project will have a significant
effect on the environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, this Resolution of Application is hereby
adopted and approved by the City Council of the City of Burlingame,
and the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Mateo County is
hereby requested to review and approve the extension of water
services to Burlingame Hills as described in the application,
according to the terms and conditions stated above in the manner
provided by the Cortese -Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of
