CITY OF BURLINGAME OPPOSITION TO
PROPOSED MILLBRAE AVENUE B.A.R.T. STATION
ALTERNATIVE AND ANY B.A.R.T. FACILITIES
WITHIN OUR CITY LIMITS
RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council of Burlingame has historically and consistently opposed
the extension of BART into San Mateo County, while strongly supporting CalTrain; and
WHEREAS, the steering committee for BART San Francisco Airport extension is
proposing to study a Millbrae Avenue BART station alternative which would include a 1,600
foot tail track and support facilities in Burlingame; and
WHEREAS, the City Council strongly opposes the adverse traffic, parking, and noise
impacts that this proposed station would bring to Burlingame and our residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Burlingame unanimously opposes the proposed Millbrae Avenue extension alternative and
any BART facilities within the City of Burlingame.

foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
7`' day of March, 1994, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
