RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING SAN MATEO PRE-
HOSPITAL EMERGENCY SERVICES PROVIDERS GROUP AND AUTHORIZING
MAYOR TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, municipalities and fire districts of the County have developed a joint powers
agreement (JPA) in order to participate in the provision of emergency medical services to their
communities; and
WHEREAS, the proposed JPA would allow the participating agencies to review the County
of San Mateo's Request for Proposals, work with emergency care providers to develop a proposal
for submission to the County, and provide the framework for delivering those services if the proposal
is accepted by the County; and
WHEREAS, the proposed JPA allows signatories to withdraw after having had a chance to
consider the effects of the specific Request for Proposal that the County makes,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED:
1. The Mayor is authorized and requested to execute the Joint Powers Agreement
Establishing San Mateo Pre -Hospital Emergency Services Providers Group by and on behalf of the
City of Burlingame as contained in Exhibit A hereto.
2. The Clerk is directed to attest to the signature of the Mayor.

foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 4th day of -SEPT.
