RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE 1996-1997 CITY OPERATING BUDGET
AND CAPITAL PROGRAM TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE
SHELL OIL COMPANY PROPERTY AT 1490 BURLINGAME AVENUE
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 41-96, the City Council adopted a budget and capital
program for 1996-1997; and
WHEREAS, the property at 1490 Burlingame Avenue was made available for purchase in
the fall of 1996, and the City wishes to purchase this property for public use; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the unappropriated general fund balance in the
1996-1997 budget to make this purchase,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED:
1. The 1996-1997 City Budget and Capital Program are amended by the transfer of
$1,250,000 from the unappropriated general fund balance to a capital improvement project for the
purchase and development of the property at 1490 Burlingame Avenue.

that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the_
19thday of FEBRUARY 1997, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
