RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING ONE-YEAR EXTENSION OF SIDEWALK REPAIR AGREEMENT WITH
J.J.R. CONSTRUCTION PURSUANT TO CONTRACT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, following a public bidding process, the City Council awarded the 1997-1998
Sidewalk Repair Contract to J.J.R. Construction on April 6, 1998, by Resolution No. 20-98; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the advertisement for bids and that contract, Section 4.06 provided
that the contract could be extended by the City on the same unit costs, terms, and conditions for an
additional one year of similar work; and
WHEREAS, J.J.R. Construction has performed the 1998-1999 repair work well, and the
unit prices remain competitive; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to extend the Contract as provided,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED:
1. The extension of the Sidewalk Repair Agreement approved on April 6, 1998, for a period
of one year is approved on the same unit prices, terms and conditions, and the Director of Public
Works is authorized and directed to executed such documents as necessary to make this extension
effective.
2. The approved extension amount is not to exceed $575,000.

foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 2nd day of AUGUST
1999, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
