RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH VB GOLF, INC. TO OPERATE
THE BURLINGAME GOLF CENTER
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame duly issued a Request for Proposals for persons
interested in operating the Burlingame Golf Center on behalf of the City; and
WHEREAS, a Golf Committee, composed of 2 Councilmembers, a member of the City
Parks & Recreation Commission, and three City staffmembers screened the proposals received,
interviewed the top candidates for operator, and began negotiations with the top candidate, VB Golf,
Inc.; and
WHEREAS, after negotiations regarding the details of an operator agreement, Attachment
A to this Resolution reflects the understandings reached between the Committee and VB Golf, Inc.;
and
WHEREAS, this operator agreement is in the best interest of the City, and should result in
the golf facility within a park that the City seeks in providing a community-based asset serving all
ages and skills in the community,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED:
1. The City Manager is authorized and directed to execute the Agreement between the City
and VB Golf, Inc. as generally contained in Attachment A hereto, as approved by the City Attorney.
2. The Clerk is directed to attest to the signature of the Manager.

foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 15t day of
November 1999, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
