RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
PROHIBITING OVERNIGHT PARKING AND RESTRICTING PARKING TO A FOUR-
HOUR TIME LIMIT AT THE PUBLIC SHORE LOT ON ANZA BOULEVARD
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, the Public Shore Lot on Anza Boulevard, which is generally shown on Exhibit
A, was developed to provide public parking for enjoyment of the Anza Lagoon, access to pedestrian
and bicycle trails in the Bayfront area, and convenience to other recreational uses nearby; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Code section 13.36.050 provides that the Council may set the time
limits and other regulations regarding the municipal parking lots in the City by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the hotels in the Bayfront area are charging for parking which will lead guests
to seek free parking elsewhere; and
WHEREAS, a prohibition on overnight parking and a restriction to a 4 hour time limit will
help preserve public access to the Public Shore Lot,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED:
1. No vehicle shall park longer than four (4) hours in the Public Shore Lot during any
calendar day.
2. No vehicle shall be parked or remain parked in the Public Shore Lot between the hours of
2 a.m. and 6 a.m.
3. The Director of Public Works is authorized and directed to post signs at the Public Shore
Lot notifying persons of these regulations.

foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 8th day of
September 1 1999, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
