Mann Councilman Lorenz A study meeting of the Burlingame Planning; Commission, regularly scheduled for this date, was called to order at 8:00 p.m. Chairman Diederichsen presiding. ROLL CALL A roll call recorded the above members present. The following were submitted to the Commission for review: to RESUBDIYISION Lots No. 6 and No, 11, Block 3BurliaMbles� A resubdivision map, filed with the City Engineer by Orin C. Fields and Carol Fields, proposed to attach a large triangular parcel, presently a part of Lot 11, to Lot 6, Block 3, Burlingables Subdivision. Ralph J. Button, Draftsman, and Mrs. Fields were present to explain the reason for the changes The triangular parcel is now vacant and un- usable because it has no frontage. It contains over 6000 square feet and is difficult to maintain or police. Mr. Button presented a plan showing how a duplex on Bayshore Boulevard could be extended on to the additional land to provide three more apartment units. A public hearing was scheduled for the regular meeting to be held on December 29, 1960. 2. SPECIAL PERMIT - Rest Dome For Aged, 0 El Camino Real An application was filed by Mrs. Rita Servi and Mrs. Anna Ippolito for a special permit to operate a home for ambulatory aged at 750 E1 Camino Real. The applicants were present. Mrs. Servi is a registered nurse and will live on the property. She expects to "be aide to care for six older people. 1 The property was formerly a single-family dwelling of four bedrooms and was recently remodeled and modernized. A report f rom the Fire Department was :read outlining certain changes that will, be necessary, to which the applicants agreed. A public hearing was scheduled for the regular meetings D-cember 29, i96o. 3. PROPOSED PI.. NS RAPID TRANSIT Sl"ST ,fig. The Commission passed the fallowing motion relating to the Rapid Transit plans to be transmitted to. the Council. The Planning Commission has heard the proposed plans of the Rapid Transit System in detail and agrees in general with the physical de- velopment as proposed. The engineers for the District anticipate a track location that will permit s widening of California Drive. The Commission approval is contingent on these conditions: (l) The tracks to he so located to provide for a future widen- ing of California Drive from Burlingame Avenue to the northerly line of the city in the amount of 24 feet at the easterly side of California Drive; (2) At least one pedestriaN overpass to be provided to allow access to the high school and Washington Park, the precise location to he fixed later by mutual agreement.
