Meeting called to order at 8:05 p.m. W Chairman Kindig presiding. HEARING 1. RH,SUBDIVISION o Parcel "AN, Portion of Lands of R.P Etienne Properties, Inc,, Chairman Kindig announced that the purpose of the adjourned meeting was to conduct a public hearing, pursuant to public notice, on an application Proposing a resubdivision of a portion of the industrial lands of R.P.Etlenne, located between the Bayshore Freeway and Marsten Road. Chairman Kindig recognized Mr. Etienne, in attendance, who advised that the resubdivision will divide one large parcel, containing ap- proximately 4.3 acres into four lots with frontages on Marsten Road. Mr. Etienne noted that construction on all of the lots will be at least 140 feet back from Marsten Road because of a P.G.& E. R/bP Easement occupying the front portion of the properties. The City Engineer and t there being no protests prove the resubdivision seconded by Commissions vote. The Com- mission was advised that 4 parking spaces would be eliminated but that arrangements had been made to lease neighboring property for parking purposes - the owner agreeing to execute a lease of the same duration as the lease on the boarding house proparty, The Chair suggested that Mrs. Pennington submit a properly prepared ap- plication to the Commission at the study meeting of September 14, prior to which time members would visit the property,, 50 , COMMUNICATION RE: Outside wooden staircase - 2501 Hale Drive A communication was read from Mr, and Mrs. Clarence E. Hale, 2408 Hale Drive, protesting construction of an outside stairway to the upper story of a dwolling at 2501 Hale Drive, Burlingame. At the request of the Chair, the Planning Consultant reviewed the background of the subject and stated that the matter waa referred by the City Council to the City Manager for Investigation,, Mr. Mann advised that he had prepared a report at the request of the City Manager and, for the information of members of the Commission, read said report in full. The Chair expressed they opinion that the matter was -not one requiring Planning Commission action until such time that a referral might be made by the City Council.
