ROLL CALL
All members of the Commission answered the Secretary's roll call.
HEARINGS POSTPONED AND MEETING RESCHEDULED,
Chairman Brauner referred to the tragic death by assassination of
John Fa Kennedy, President of the United States, on Friday,
November 22, 1963; to the Executive Proclamation issued by the suc-
cessor President, Lyndon B. Johnson, declaring this date,
November 2S, 1963, a National Day of Mourning and like proclamations
on state and local levels, issued by Glenn M. Anderson, Lieutenant
Governor of the State of California and Charlotte .Johnson, Mayor,
City of Burlingame.
Chairman Brauneed that in view of these circumstances the
memb o the Burlingame Planning Commission considered it inappro-
priate to conduct the business regularly scheduled for this meeting
and would at this time determine a date to which the present meeting
would be continued.
Commissioners were requested to comment.
A suggestion was made that the meeting be continued to the following
evening, Tuesday, November 26, 1963. Commissioner Edwards, through
the Chair, inquired whether there would be sufficient time to notify
persons having applications before the Commission,
The City Planner advised that he was reasonably certain that this
could be accomplished. The City Atbrney expressed the opinion that a
continuance as proposed would be a proper action and any application
not heard at the continued meeting could be continued to another date.
On a motion introduced by Commissioner Edwards, seconded by
Commissioner Kindig and unanimously carried, the meeting was continued
' to Tuesday, November 26, 1963, 8:00 o'clock p.m., City Hall Council
Chambers.
Commissioner Moore advised the Chair that a business commitment
would prevent his attending the adjourned meeting on November 26.
By direction of the Chair, the agenda of Commission business for
November 25, 1963, was attached to and made a part of these minutes
and each and every item on the agenda was continued for hearing to
November 26, 19639 at 8:00 o'clock p.m.
On a motion introduced by Commissioner Cistulli, regularly seconded
and unanimously carried, all in the Council Chambers arose and ob-
served one minute of silence in tribute to the lane President of the
United States, John Fitzgerald Kenrtedyo 'The meeting was thereafter
declared adjourned in his memory.
TIME OF ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was officially adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
