A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME ACCEPTING
IMPROVEMENTS – 2023 STREET RESURFACING PROJECT BY INTERSTATE GRADING
AND PAVING, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,517,570.70
CITY PROJECT NO. 86400
WHEREAS, on May 15, 2023, the City Council awarded the 2023 Street Resurfacing
Project to Interstate Grading and Paving, Inc. in the amount of $1,497,326.40 (Resolution No.
051-2023); and
WHEREAS, the 2022-23 Street Resurfacing Project scope consisted of performing
asphalt concrete “dig-out” repairs, surface milling, asphalt concrete overlay, traffic markings,
traffic striping, concrete improvements, and other related work; and
WHEREAS, the project has been satisfactorily completed in compliance with the plans
and specifications, and, the final project construction cost is $1,517,570.70, which is $20,244.30
higher than the original contract award, but within the Council-approved contingencies.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of
Burlingame, California, and this Council does hereby find, order and determine as follows:
1. The Director of Public Works of said City has certified the work done by Interstate
Grading and Paving, Inc., under the terms of its contract with the City dated June 14,
2023, has been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications approved by
the City Council and to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works.
2. Said work is particularly described as City Project No. 86400.
3. Said work be and the same hereby is accepted.

the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 6th
day of May, 2024, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
