HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 048-2024 RESOLUTION NO. 048-2024 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $557,958 FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT TO ALCAL SPECIALTY CONTRACTING, INC. CITY PROJECT NO. 86060 WHEREAS, on February 21, 2024, the City issued a notice inviting bid proposals for the Police Department Roof Replacement, City Project No. 86060; and WHEREAS, on March 19, 2024, all proposals were received and opened before the City Clerk and representatives of the Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, Alcal Specialty Contracting, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible bid for the job in the amount of $557,958.00. NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, and it is hereby ORDERED, that the Plans and Specifications, including all addenda, are approved and adopted for the project identified above; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THERETO that a contract in the amount of $557,958, in the form attached hereto, be entered into between the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the City of Burlingame for the performance of said work, and that the City Manager is authorized on behalf of the City of Burlingame to execute said contract and to approve the faithful performance bond and the labor materials bond required to be furnished by the contractor. _________________________ Donna Colson, Mayor I, Meaghan Hassel Shearer, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 15th day of April, 2024, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: BEACH, BROWNRIGG, COLSON, ORTIZ, STEVENSON NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE _________________________ Meaghan Hassel-Shearer, City Clerk DocuSign Envelope ID: C3DA0C05-37FE-4271-AD00-3DE24D842490
