OLD BUSINESS
1. Trees of Burlingame Ad Hoc Committee Members Update
Chair Kirchner discussed the timeline he created delineating tree events in the City of Burlingame ranging
from 1846 to the present day, 2022. He explained that although it will not be a part of the publication, it
is meant to provide an understanding of what has occurred in the past and how it may project into the
future. He stated that he is currently working on the low -hanging fruit chapters and will have two difficult
chapters that discuss governance over time and a glimpse of the future.
Director Glomstad asked for clarification on the different colors on the timeline. Chair Kirchner
explained that the beige is events that shaped the trees, groves, and the governance today versus the green
that is strictly groves. City Arborist Disco confirmed that the grove of Eucalyptus trees on Skyline Blvd
does not currently have a name.
Director Glomstad stated that if the Burlingame Historical Society vets the timeline, it will make a great
addition to the City of Burlingame website. Director Glomstad and City Arborist Disco praised Chair
Kirchner for the work completed to create this timeline.
