RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME REJECTING
ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE 2024 EUCALYPTUS TREE WORK ALONG CALIFORNIA
DRIVE, AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO RE-ADVERTISE THE PROJECT
WHEREAS, a notice was duly published on January 19, 2024 for bids for the contract for
the prescribed removal and pruning of eucalyptus trees along California Drive; and
WHEREAS, on February 7, 2024, all proposals were received and opened before the City
Clerk and representatives of the Parks & Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, the City received a total of 12 bid proposals, with base bids ranging from
$129,679 to $400,447; and
WHEREAS, the bid documents allow the City to reject all bids; and
WHEREAS, after reviewing the bid proposals, staff recommends that the City Council reject
all bids and authorize staff to update the bid documents to reflect the number of trees requiring work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, and ORDERED, that all bids for the above-named
project are rejected; all bonds and security received in connection with the bids received shall be returned
to the bidders; and City staff is authorized to re-advertise the project in accordance therewith.

resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 4th day of March, 2024,
and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
