RESOLUTION NO. 015-2024
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A THREE-YEAR
AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TECHNOLOGY FOR
THE PURCHASE OF A YEARLY STATEWIDE ENTERPRISE LEVEL AGREEMENT
SUBSCRIPTION FOR MICROSOFT 365 G5 PRODUCT AND SERVICES, FOR THE
POLCIE DEPARTMENT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $78,708
WHEREAS, the Burlingame Police Department utilizes email to ensure reliable communication
to support Police operations and continuity of critical Police systems; and
WHEREAS, the Burlingame Police Department's email infrastructure is hosted in-house
and still requires in-house maintenance services; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department's move to Microsoft's cloud -based solution will
include opportunities to leverage new technology and up-to-date application enhancements from
Microsoft; and
WHEREAS, Microsoft 365 provides disaster resistance with multiple server farms in
separate locations; and
WHEREAS, Microsoft 365 G5 licensing includes advanced C1oudApp Security and
Compliance features, including Identity and Access Management, Advanced Protection, Identify
Driven Security, Managed Mobile Products, Security Center, and Information Protection; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department will partner with the California Department of
Technology (CDT) and enter into a Statewide Enterprise Level Agreement (ELA) for Microsoft
Office 365 G5 products and services; and
WHEREAS, the CDT's cost for the Microsoft 365 G5 license is below what is offered on
the listed master contract pricing used by a public agency purchasing pool; and
WHEREAS, the CDT will facilitate the Police Department's enrollment through Crayon
Software Experts, LLC; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $2,420 are included in the fiscal year 2023-24
operating budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Burlingame hereby approves and authorizes the City Manager to execute a three-year agreement
with the California Department of Technology for the purchase of a yearly Statewide Enterprise

Level Agreement subscription for Microsoft Office 365 G5 product and services, for the Police
Department, in an amount not to exceed $78,708.
