RESOLUTION NO. 014-2024
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING THE PROCUREMENT OF ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED SUPPLIES AND
MATERIALS FROM CORE & MAIN FOR THE WATER DIVISION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $175,000
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department Water Division operates and maintains the
City's water distribution system; and
WHEREAS, in June 2023, the Water Division obtained prices from three qualified vendors
for specialized supplies and materials; and
WHEREAS, the City has identified Core & Main as an authorized local distributor with the
best availability and abundance of needed specialized supplies and materials; and
WHEREAS, the City is proactively procuring specialized supplies and materials to ensure
uninterrupted water service continuity for the current fiscal year and upcoming fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, due to the arrival of back -ordered items, ordering of additional items due to
current availability, and increased cost of goods due to inflation, additional funds in the amount of
$80,000 are needed for FY2023-24, totaling a not to exceed amount of $175,000 for the Core &
Main purchase order.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURLINGAME AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council hereby approves the procurement of additional specialized supplies
and materials as necessary for the operation and maintenance of the water distribution
system from Core & Main in an amount not to exceed $175,000 during FY2023-2024.

foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 5th day
of February, 2024, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
