A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING THE INCREASE OF THE CITY’S CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION LIMITS
FOR INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS FROM $350 TO $375 PURSUANT TO
CHAPTER 2.25.020 OF THE BURLINGAME MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, on December 20, 2021, the City Council adopted Ordinance 2001, which
amended Chapter 2.25 of the Burlingame Municipal Code regarding campaign contribution
limits for candidates for elected City offices; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance 2001, set the campaign contribution limits for individuals and
organizations at $350 in an election period; and
WHEREAS, the ordinance provides that the contribution limits will be automatically
adjusted by $25 every two years by the City Clerk and confirmed by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the new campaign contribution limit for individuals and organizations
contributing to a candidate or controlled committee in the City is $375 in an election period.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The City’s campaign contribution limit for individuals and organizations contributing to a
candidate or controlled committee in the City is $375 in an election period.

that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
16th day of January, 2024, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
