RESOLUTION NO. 005-2024
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO
AGREEMENT FOR CONTRACTUAL SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AND WEST COAST ARBORISTS, INC. FOR CONTRACT TREE PRUNING AND STUMP
REMOVAL SERVICES TO EXTEND THE TERM UNTIL JUNE 30, 2025, AND INCREASE THE
CONTRACT AMOUNT BY $800,000
WHEREAS, on July 6, 2021, the City of Burlingame and West Coast Arborists, Inc.,
executed an agreement for contract tree pruning and stump removal services, in the amount of
$1,276,335; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined the need to extend the contract as provided in the
Agreement to complete preventative maintenance grid pruning and provide for on-call services;
and
WHEREAS, the City has estimated the costs associated with the identified work to be
$800,000, and the contract is so amended to accommodate the additional amount; and
WHEREAS, the term of the agreement shall be until June 30, 2025, to provide a
reasonable timeline for preventative maintenance grid pruning and on-call services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED:
1. The City Manager is authorized and directed to enter into Amendment No. 1 to the
Contractual Services Agreement with West Coast Arborists, Inc. to provide contract tree
pruning and stump removal services, with a term extended through June 30, 2025, and
the contract amount increased by $800,000, for a new, not-to-exceed amount of
$2,076,335.
2. Except as expressly amended in this Amendment #1, all other terms and conditions
contained in the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
3. The City Clerk is directed to attest to the signature of the City Manager upon execution of
Amendment No.1.
