A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AWARDING AN EMERGENCY GENERATOR MAINTENANCE SERVICES CONTRACT
TO EDWARD R. BACON COMPANY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, on May 31, 2023, the Department of Public Works issued a notice inviting
bids for the City of Burlingame Emergency Generator Services; and
WHEREAS, on June 14, 2023, the City received three bid proposals; and
WHEREAS, Edward R. Bacon Company submitted the lowest responsible bid in the
amount of $38,670.00 per year to provide emergency generator maintenance and inspections
services to emergency generators located at various City facilities for a three-year period; and
WHEREAS, staff identified a need to include as-needed emergency repair funds in a not-
to-exceed amount of $10,000.00 per year to allow for as-needed and unexpected repairs for a three-
year period; and
WHEREAS, City staff reviewed the bid proposal of Edward R. Bacon Company, and
determined it to be responsible and in compliance with the project requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, that the bid of Edward R. Bacon Company for
said project in the amount of $146,010.00 is accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into between the successful
bidder and the City of Burlingame for the performance of said work, and that the City Manager is
authorized on behalf of the City of Burlingame to execute said contract and to approve the labor
materials bond required to be furnished by the contractor.

Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 5th day of July, 2023,
and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
