A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AUTHORIZING POSITION AMENDMENTS
WHEREAS, under the City of Burlingame Civil Service Rules, adopted pursuant to
Municipal Code Section 3.52.030, the City Council is the final authority for approving the
classification and compensation plan; and
WHEREAS, the proposed changes are as detailed below:
Reclassification of two (2) Parks Maintenance Workers to two (2) Tree Maintenance
Workers positions in the Parks and Recreation Department; and
Reclassification of one (1) Parks Maintenance Worker to one (1) Irrigation Repair
Specialist position in the Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, the basis for the proposed changes is fully detailed in the mid-year staff report
for this item on the March 15, 2023, City Council agenda; and
WHEREAS, the proposed changes are contingent upon the adoption of the Fiscal Mid-
Year 2022-23 Budget revisions; and
WHEREAS, the bargaining units representing the impacted classifications have reviewed
the proposed changes and have not brought forth any objections or concerns; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Burlingame finds,
orders, and declares that:
1. The Council approves the reclassification of two Parks Maintenance Worker positions
to two Tree Maintenance Worker positions; and
2. The Council approves the reclassification of one Parks Maintenance Worker to one
Irrigation Repair Specialist.

resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 15th day of March
2023, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:

NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: NONE
