Mr. H. Jay Burns, Pnesldent of the Bunllngame Eleuentary School-Board',
stated th;t lnasmuch as tbe Boand had reoelved a comstmLeatlon fnom
the Mtllbrao Schoo1 Distrlct Board, rogu€stlng that the Burllngame
School Dlstnlct Board accept the proposed school- lnto the Burllngame
Dlstrlct, ho would a_ppreclite the opportuqtty to meot wlth the Plan-
ntng Comilsslon anar/-oi. tfre developers to dl.siluss the revlsod map and
lts-relatlon to the proposed school.

Clubsr Cowrcllr addressed the Councll and read from a prepared state-
ment, reportedly expressLng tho vl-ess of the maJonity of representa-
tlvei of-the efght lmpnovement clubs of the Ctty of Burllngame. The
statement eontained tho followlng four polnts the developers YIere
roquested to guarantoo:
1. ProvlsLons for adequate flood control and/or preventlon.
2. Underground condults for canrSring water from the hllls
through the tract.
5. Complete overalL plannlng for the entLre area which they
w111 devolop and. the omLssi.on of through roads ln home
areas.
4. Houses of adoquate slze and agreement on mlnlmum slze of
roomg.
Mayor Slmonds lnvlted lntorested porsons to attend neetlngs of the
Plinnlng Commlsslon at such tlue as the new map for the proposed^
Mlllsdale Subdlvislon ls on the agenda for conslderatlon and actLon.
Counclfunan Morgan requested the membens of the Cor.lncll to unanimously
concur !n hls iecommendatlon that 0ndLnance No. 558, lntroduced at the
last regular meetlng, rrZonlng and Classlfylng the Lands of Mlllsda1erl
be wlthdr&wrro On ro11 call of members, Ordlnance No, 558 was unanl-
mously withdrawn.
Mayor Slmonds stated for the benefit of those ln attendaneo, that the
CoirnclL at lts last regular meetlng had entored lnto an agreement
authorl zlng the lmmedlate undentaklng of a progt3sm for the lmprovement
of the Cltyrs storm dralnage system, as well as for the neu areas that
may be annexed to tho City.

Councllman Morgan moved that No. L on the establlshed ellglble

The motion was secondod by Councl lman Byrd and wranlmously carrled.

Asslstant Flre Ch16f, statlng that due to the r€tLrement of Flre ChlefLels, thereby creatlng a vacancy ln the Dopartment, lt was requestedthat an appolntment be made for one pe rroranent f l:reman. Councllman
