the 18th day of Fbbruary, J-95?^, as submi,tted. to members of the
Councll and as posted on the Bulletin Board j.n the City I1a11, were
unanimously approved. on rcotlon of Councilman Slmonds and seconded
by CounciLnran lIunt.

ll:anclsco permi-sslon to eonstruct and operate a water pipe linewithin thelr corporate Limits, Ctty Attorney Karmel stated thatthe courts had rendered. a d,ecisLon in favor of th.e San Fbanciscolflater Department and that the pipe lino woul-d be construcfed asoriglnally propgsed. City Attorney Karriel ad.vised. that a recentartiele ln the loca1 press camled a head.line that was misleadlngto the citlzens and that althouglr no one appeared flom the Citiesof Millbrae or Ellfsborougfr, he, as representative of the Ctty of
Burlingame had filed a protest and had appeared. in court in behalfof the Clty of Burlingame. Ctty Attorney Karmel flr:r-ther advisedthat the court upheld the provisions stipulated ln the pe;.mLt.
Councllman Slmonds questloned Gity Attorney Karmel as to wtretheror not the City Attorney represents the City rrd:en a citation is
issued. to an individual who may have violated a clty ord.lnance.I{r. Karmel replied. that the attorney would represent the cityonly when the eourt issues an ord.et for an arrest. CounciLman
Simonds suggested that the Porrndnraster and. the Ctty Attonney meetto flrthe:: clarify the proeedure to be estabLished ln the issuaneeof eLtations. CounciLman Simonds f\r::ti:.e:: suggested that all De-partment Heads should follovr the same procedure.
There being no bids reccived for the 1952 Weed. A.batement program,
Couneilman Simonds moved that bLds be re-called for" the next Coun-cil meeting of l,'tareh J.7, second.ed, by Council-man Bl.rd and unan-imously canrled.
