RESOLUTION NO. 150-2022
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT AMENDMENT WITH DAVID J. POWERS
& ASSOCIATES, INC. (DJP&A) TO PERFORM ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
SERVICES RELATED TO THE PROPOSED PENINSULA WELLNESS COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT AT 1819 TROUSDALE DRIVE IN THE AMOUNT OF $97,381.00,
FOR A MAXIMUM COMPENSATION OF $295,371
WHEREAS, a new application is anticipated to be submitted by the Peninsula Health Care
District for a proposed development project located at 1819 Trousdale Drive (Peninsula Wellness
Community); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), an
environmental review of the project must occur prior to consideration of the Peninsula Wellness
Community by the Planning Commission and City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City selected DJP&A ("Consultant") to perform the environmental review
required for the proposed residential and medical services development at 1819 Trousdale Drive
("Project"); and
WHEREAS, the proposed project requires the completion of an Environmental Impact
Report (EIR); and
WHEREAS, per direction of the City Council, the City Manager executed an agreement
on January 11, 2016, incorporating the Work Program, Cost Estimate, and Project Schedule
prepared by DJP&A in the amount of $197,990; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant has prepared a request for an amendment to the agreement
to cover the cost of the requested services as outlined in the attached Scope of Work dated
December 6, 2022, for the proposed Project, for a total budget of $295,371; and
WHEREAS, because the amendment to the agreement will authorize work in excess of
$100,000, with a total budget of $295,371, City Council approval is required.
NOW , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED:
1. The City Manager is authorized and directed to enter into the Professional Services
Agreement with the Consultant, in the form attached hereto, for environmental review
services related to the proposed Project, consistent with the Scope of Work attached to
this resolution for a maximum total cost of $295,371.
2. The City Clerk is directed to attest to the signature of the City Manager upon execution
of the Professional Services Agreement.
