The mlnutes of the previous meetl"ng of February 16, 1955, as submlt-ted to members of the Councll and as posted. on the Bulletln Board,
were unanlmously approved and adopted upon motion of Councilman At-water arrd seconded by Counell-man Simonds.
A hearing on the applLcatlon of Mn. Neal McNell for permlsslon to
conduct a Used Car Lot, was scheduled, accordlng to ordlnance reg-ulatlons, for hearlng on thls date, A report dated February 25,

A petitlon, dated &bruary 16, 1955, slgned by twenty property
owners ln the 7OO block on Walnut Avenue, was read, ln which theproperty owners entened a protest to the subdlvlsion of the propentyat 7O5 Walnut Avenue. IIrs. Beat::ice M. Marlno, 750 Walnut Avenue,
addressed the Council, questloning the reason as to why the owner
wes granted the authorlty to subdivide the property to create at'hlrd lot. Mayon Bynd and members of the Councl1, advised that theproposed subdivlslon conforms to exlsting ordinance regulatlons andthe owner wes 1egaIly entltled to subdlvlde the property. fn answerto furthen inqulnies by lltlr. L, Llncoln, Recreatlon Superlntendent, requestlng author-lzation to expend the budgeted sum of $ZZ5.OO for the lnJtallationof a heatLng unlt 1n the Burlingame Village Fleld House. Questionedby members of the Councll as to the Recreation Commlsslonls recom-mendatlon regarding the installatlon of a gas heeter or an electnlcheater, Comnrlssloner McKeon advlsed that the members we?e of theoplnion that gas would be advLseable. the Beturn of Diagonal Panklng, expresslng the appreciatlon of the
merchants on Burllngame Avenue for Councll actlon in returrrlng the
system of diagonal parkLng to Burllngame Avenue. The communlcatlon
was ordered placed. on file and the Clerk instructed to acknowledgeits receipts.

motlon of Councll:nan Simonds, seconded by Councllman Love, the ap-

Councilman Love moved the neappolntment of IvIr. Cook, seeonded by
Councllman Morgan and unanlmously carrled. The Clty Clerk was ln-

uent.
Mayor Byrd announced that a request had been recetved I)rom the San
Mateo County firberculosts Soclety for permission to place an X-Ray
Mobile Unit on Blrrllngame Avenue and on Broadway for a th::ee dayperlod and that a 22O voltage servlce be placed at lts disposal.
Councllman Slmonds moved that permlsslon be granted, seconded by
Councilman Love and r:nanlmously camLed.
Mayor Bynd advLsed that a meetlng had been scheduled with the City
Manager of Elllsborougfr and the Mayor of Ml11brae, Fb5-day, March 6,to discuss the pnoposed th:ree-cltles co-operative operatlon of the
Munic ipal F111.
Councllman Slmonds suggested that ttre Clty ErgLneer be lnstructedto submit a report on the electnical and water connectlons that maybe exi-stent at the frrnst Mansion prlor to the aceeptance of blds forrazing the bulldlng. Sre Clty Englneen was so lnstructed.
Councllman Slmonds flrnther suggested that the Clty Attorney and theChlef of Pollce lnvestigate the parking sltuatLon withln the entireclty and submlt a repont to the Counell fo:r study and recommcnd-
atl-ons as to possLble nestrictions and llmitations that may be ne-qulred.
The Clty Clerk was lnstructed by Mayor Byrd on behalf of the Councilto dLrect a letten to the membens of the Stneet Depantment, the

experLencLng due to unllcensed. photographers operatlng wlthin theCity. Followlng eonsid.erable dlscr.rsslon on the subject, Mayor Bl.rdrequested the Chief of Pollce to arrange with the Clty Attonney toschedule a meetlng wlth local llcensed photographers to discuss
1ega1 measures that may be lnstituted to cease unlicensed pnactice.
