Ptr. lustln advised that the proposed Eoute rrCrr is spaced a :reasonabledistance away from the Cltles, provides a rrbufferrr separatLng the
proposed freer+ay from the r:esi,ilences and causes no c onrmrni ty disruptlon.

Councilm.:n Thayer advised that a personal tour of lnspection revealed
to her the undesirabillty of both Routes rrAlr and rrBrr and froin her
obsenvatlon, Routo [Crr as proposed., would not conflict ln any way wlth
residences presently establlshed in tbe area.
Councilman Joh-nson advlsed that she had been conCucted on a personal
tour and that she was opposod to t.re destruction of valuable property
as proposed by Routes ttAtr arrd rrBI . Councilman Johnson complimented. the
menbens of the CltlzensI Corn-'nLttee on their servlce to the comrnunities.
Irlayor Pro Tempore Byrd advlsed that the Councll has approached the subject
objectlvely and was conscl-ous of the dest:.uction of prope?ty and the
loss Ln tax dol1ars.
Councllman I.lorgan refe:rred to the Counci.l minutes of June a7, 1957,
wherein the Council unanimously opposed Routes rrArt and rrBrr as presently
constLtuted and directed that a conmunication be forwarded to the State
Dlvlsion of Elghways, requesting that a study be made of establlshing a
route beyond that proposed.
