The Clty Manager, ln his corurunlcatlon stated that, ln hls

4 MEMO: WASHINGTON PARK IIOUSE
A report lYom the City Manager, d.ated August 15, 1958, ad-
visod that cost estimates are belng obtained to determine fund.s
necessary to rehabllitate th6 vacant house on ci ty-owned proper-
ty in Washington Park and infonnation shal-l be submltted to
Council.
Councilmari Rooth suggested lf rehabilitation costs were ex-
cessive that the Clty Manager conslder the possiblltty of havLng
the structure razed ard the prcperty converted Lnto an off-stneetparking facillty. Courcilman Rooth offered the funther posslbl-
lity that a portlon of the material may be salvaged and utllizodfor the sonstruction of an office for the Park Superlntendont at
