RESOLUTION NO. 104-2022
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT FOR JOINT USE, MAINTENANCE,
OPERATION, AND FOR MAINTAINING A STRONG COLLABORATIVE RELATIONSHIP
BETWEEN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AND THE BURLINGAME SCHOOL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame and the Burlingame School District have a long partnership
that has provided the Burlingame community with after-school sports and enrichment programs, field
space, crossing guards, and other services; and
WHEREAS, in 2017, the City and the District executed a three-year agreement to continue the
partnership until June 30, 2020; and
WHEREAS, given the significant unknowns related to school and recreation programming as a
result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City and the District extended the term of the agreement for one
year, until June 30, 2021, and for an additional year until June 30, 2022; and
WHEREAS, staff from the City and the District have negotiated a new, four-year agreement that
terminates on June 30, 2026.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council approves the Agreement for Joint Use, Maintenance, Operation, and for
Maintaining a Strong Collaborative Relationship between the City of Burlingame and the
Burlingame School District with the Burlingame School District, in the form attached hereto.
2. The City Council authorizes and directs the City Manager to execute the Agreement.

foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 15th day of August,
2022, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers: BEACH, BROWNRIGG, COLSON, O’BRIEN KEIGHRAN, ORTIZ
NOES: Councilmembers: NONE
