None MUNICIPAL ELECTION RES ULT DECLARXD The City Clerk attested to the Certification of the Office of the County Clerk verifying the tabulation of the voting machines. RESOLUTION NO. 60-64 "Declaring Result of General Municipal Election 1964" vras introduced for passage on motion of Councilman lt{.artin, seconded by Councilman Crosby and unanimously carried. OATH OF OFFICE The City Clerk administered the Oath of Office Council-man Dieder j-chsen. CounciJ-man George and and to City Treasurer, Ida H. coe. to newly elected Councilman Johnson COMI{I'NICATlONS CATIFORNIA TEACHERS ASSOCIATION Mayor Johnson read a communication from I"1r. Walter lvlaxwell, Assistant Executive Secretary, California Teachers Association, dated April 20, J-964, expressing appreciation to Chief of Police Lollin and his Department for the outstanding service rendered on the occasion of the recent visit of Secretary ceneral U. Thant of the United Nations and other outstanding dignitaries to this community. Councilman Georqe placed the name of CounciLman R. David I{artin in nomination and there being no further nominations, a unanirnous ballot t^'as cast for Councilman Martin as Cl:rairman of the Council- I"layor of The City of Burlingame for the forthcoming year- ELECTION MAYOR PRO TEMPORE Ilominations were declared open by the Chair for the position of Cha irman-Mayor Pro Tempore. Councilman Diederichsen placed the name of Councilman William H. crosby in nomination and there being no further nominations, a unani:oous baI1ot was cast for Councilman Crosby as llayor Pro Tempore. MAYOR !4ARTIN ASSI]MES CEAIRMANSHIP Retiring Cha j.rman-Ivlayor Johnson presented the gavel who assumed his position as chairman of the Council of the City of Burlingame. to Mayor Martin and !4ayor COUNCIL INTRODUCTIONS Each membe r of their families the in Council personally introduced the members of attendance for the occasion.
