Preaent - Councilmen; Absent - Councilmen: Crosby-ceorgedohnson. Diede richsen-llart in. Councilman Diederichsen and Councilman lqartin were excused. PURPOSE OF !,IEETING - FI REWORKS DISPLAY Mayor cros\r Ernnounced that the special meeting had been called to consider the application of the Atlas Firer4rorks co., Inc., for a permit to conduct a display of firereorks on July 3, 1955, in the vicinity of Coyote Point in San Irlateo and on a jetty protruding into Burl ingame, under the sponsorship of the san uateo Junior Charnber of Commerce i permission of Council was requested in compliance with State statutory requirements and loca1 ordi.nance. t{r . steve Shatdacik, ilr. , President, san l,lateo ilunior Chamber of Commerce was in attendance to confim ttrat the state Fire ltarshall hae approved said display under General Fireworks' Display License 922, dated January 26, L965, and a "certificate of in suranee " underwritten by the Firenanr s Fund, lmerican Insurance Conpanies, in the amount of $50O.000.00 (Workmen's cornpensation Liability) . Burlingame Fire Chief , R. E. Ittoorby Iocation of the fireworks' display. indicated his approval of the Itre city [anager advised Council that the State Highway Patrol shall be advieed of the firerrorks progran.
