A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME APPROVING A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CAROLLO ENGINEERS, INC., IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1,499,624, FOR THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY DIGESTER
IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE AGREEMENT
CITY PROJECT NO. 86580
WHEREAS, the City is considering conducting activities for consultant engineering services for
design services for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Digester Improvements Project, City
Project No. 86580; and
WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking professional services to
perform engineering for the project, which includes pre-design and final design effort, and the
City received two proposals in the response to the RFP, one from Carollo Engineers, and one
from Mott MacDonald; and
WHEREAS, after analyzing the proposals and interviewing both consulting firms, staff
determined Carollo Engineers to be the most qualified firm to undertake the project design
services; and
WHEREAS, staff negotiated a scope of services with Carollo in the amount of $1,499,624, which
is described in detail in Exhibit A of the attached Professional Services Agreement for the design
services for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Digester Improvements Project, City Project No.
86580.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame,
California which FINDS, ORDERS and DETERMINES AS FOLLOWS:
1. The public interest and convenience require execution of the Professional
Services Agreement cited in the title above and attached hereto.
2. The City Manager is authorized to sign said Agreement on behalf of the City of
Burlingame.
3. The City Clerk is instructed to attest such signature.
