RESOLUTION NO. 058-2022
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING THE PROCUREMENT OF REPLACEMENT SCADA SYSTEM
HARDWARE FOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OPERATED UTILITIES PUMP
STATIONS AND WATER RESERVOIR SITES IN THE AMOUNT OF $212,705.95,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE PROCUREMENT
WHEREAS, the SCADA system provides staff with the ability to remotely monitor and
control the City's potable water, wastewater collections, and stormwater facilities; and
WHEREAS, the current SCADA system in place was originally installed in 2003, and
specific hardware have reached the end of their useful life expectancy and need to be replaced;
and
WHEREAS, staff solicited competitive proposals from six different vendors who specialize
in this market space and received two complete bid proposals —one from Buckles -Smith in the
amount of $212,705.95 and one from All Industrial Electric Supply, Inc. in the amount of
$277,043.25; and
WHEREAS, City staff reviewed the two complete proposals and found the lowest quote
from Buckles -Smith to meet all of the City's purchase requirements; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends procuring the necessary replacement parts from Buckles -
Smith in the amount of $212,705.95.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, and ORDERED, that Buckles -Smith
submitted a complete bid proposal that meets the needs of the City, and their proposal is
approved and adopted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid proposal for said purchase in the amount of
$212,705.95 is accepted, and the City Manager or her designee is authorized to execute the
procurement.

certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council
held on the 6th day of June, 2022, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
