dated November I, 1969, suboitting a copy of a proposed bronze plaqueto be installed at the new city IIaIl, Iisting the council nenbers
narnes in alphabetical order and including the name of fomer Uayor
and Councilman w. H. Diederichsen, with ttre year of his birth andthe year of his demiae.
In reply to an inquiry frm Councilnan Crosb!, concerning the deletionof the word 'Mayor' after the r,rords nR. D. Ir{artin " the Chair
explained that the formulation of plans for the City Ha1l project
progreasd under the chairmanship of three former !{ayora lnd that
Council had previously detemined to eliminate the word '!iayor. "
llhe najority of Council having confirroed the statenent of the Chair,
the Architect was authorized to place an order for the bronzeplaque aa preaented.

A c@unication was received frcrn the state Water Resourcea control
Board, dated Noveober 7, 1969, and referred to a coPy of a letter
forrarded to the Chairman of the San lilateo County Board of Supei-vigors, urging tlre cooperation of all waste dischargers in San Mateo
County by meeting with the Water Quality Board to discuse both
the present and the future \rater quality Prograns in San Francisco Bay.

Mateo County Heter Quality Advisory cqurittee, advised of hisintention to attend such neetings, when scheduled.
