RESOLUTION NO. 139-2021
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITH GRIFFIN STRUCTURES FOR CONSTRUCTION
MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE NEW COMMUNITY CENTER PROJECT INCREASING
THE CONTRACT AMOUNT BY $275,000 FOR A TOTAL NOT -TO -EXCEED AMOUNT OF
$1,373,580
WHEREAS, the City is in the process of completing the construction of the new
Community Center; and
WHEREAS, the City entered into an Agreement for Professional Services ("Agreement")
with Griffin Structures for construction management of the new Community Center on September
26, 2018 in the amount of $1,098,580; and
WHEREAS, due to additional services requested by the City and an increase in the
duration of the construction, an amendment is needed to complete the construction project; and
WHEREAS, the cost of these services is $275,000, and the new Community Center
Capital Improvement Budget contingency account has adequate funds to cover the cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
RESOLVES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council approves Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement with Griffin Structures, in
the form attached hereto, for construction management services and associated work at
an additional cost of $275,000, for a total not -to -exceed amount of $1,373,579.
2. The City Manager is authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement and any
necessary documents to undertake the above said work.

Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 15th day of
November, 2021 and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
