RESOLUTION NO. 114-2021
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
ACCEPTING THE 2020 SIDEWALK REPAIR PROGRAM
BY GOLDEN BAY CONSTRUCTION
CITY PROJECT NO. 85960
WHEREAS, on March 5, 2018, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2018-1949 to update
Chapter 12.12 of the Burlingame Municipal Code "Sidewalk and Park Maintenance"; the updated
code authorized the City to implement sidewalk repairs through the Capital Improvement Program
utilizing 100% City funds with no contributions from property owners based on funding availability; and
WHEREAS, on September 8, 2020, the City Council awarded the 2020 Sidewalk Repair
Program to Golden Bay Construction, Inc., in the amount of $792,524, and the project scope
consisted of replacing defective sidewalks, driveways, curb ramps, valley gutters, and curb and
gutters in the areas shown on the attached project location map; and
WHEREAS, the 2020 Sidewalk Repair Program has been satisfactorily completed in
compliance with the project plans and specifications, and the completed work included installation of
approximately 39,100 square feet of new sidewalk and driveways, 57 American with Disabilities Act
(ADA) curb ramps, 570 square feet of valley gutters, and 1,100 linear feet of curb and gutter; and
WHEREAS, the final project construction cost is $969,964, which is $177,440, or 22.4%,
above the base contract award amount and within the Council -approved contingencies.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame, California,
and this Council does hereby find, order and determine as follows:
1. The Director of Public Works of said City has certified the work done by Golden Bay
Construction, Inc., under the terms of its contract with the City dated October 23, 2020, has been
completed in accordance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and to the
satisfaction of the Director of Public Works.
2. Said work is particularly described as City Project No. 85960.
3. Said work be and the same hereby is accepted. l

foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 2011 day of
September, 2021, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
