On June 17, 2021, the Parks and Recreation Commission modified the number of Pickleball courts on the Washington Tennis Courts due to additional community input and staff research to lining two Washington Park Tennis Courts with two Pickleball courts each. The lining was scheduled for August 23, 2021. Parks & Recreation Commission APPROVED Minutes August 19, 2021 Since that time, staff has continued to receive input from the Pickleball community, with the majority requesting four Pickleball court lines added to Washington Park Tennis Court 1. Staff consulted with the U.S. Pickleball representatives and confirmed that four Pickleball court lines would fit on Washington Park Tennis Court 1. Staff requested that the Commission approve the change. Staff also provided an update about the use of The Burlingamer.
