Counctlman Amstrup detatled hts reasons for appealtng this specialpermtt. He stated thts Ls a permtt for dual use of a gasollne
servtce statton whtch mi.ght start an undestrable trend; he had con-firmation that they had engaged tn bustness before getttng a bus-
tness ltcense or permtt; there ls an unusual dtstance between the
offLce and storage stte; and he had not knolrn about the arrange-
ments wlth Anza Parktng whtch took care of the mechantcs of storing
40 cars.

Councilnan Amstrup reported that thts stop 61gn at the intersecttonof Trousdale and Skyltne Boutevard had agatn been knocked down. He
noted the dangerous intersectton and suggested destructton occurs
so regularly Lt must be vandallsm. He proposed a reward system for
tnformatton on perpetrators of vandallsm to City property. Councilconcurred. Poltce Chtef noted reward fund ts already set up - there
need only be an amount set for vandallsm.
BURLINGAME PLAZA
Counctlman Amstrup reported the parktng of large commercial vans
and rtgs ln the Plaza for long pertods of ttme and that merchants
are complatning. Poltce chtef stated thts had been lnvesttgated,that overnlght parklng regulatlons do not apply because thts ts a
commerctal aree, but tf the vehtcle ts parked for longer than 72
hours tt can be removed by the Police Department.
