RESOLUTION NO. 067-2021
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT TWO TO EXTEND THE AGREEMENT FOR ,JOINT
USE, MAINTENANCE, OPERATION, AND FOR MAINTAINING A STRONG COLLABORATIVE
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AND THE CITY OF BURLINGAME FOR
ONE YEAR
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame and the Burlingame School District have a long partnership
that has provided the Burlingame community with after -school sports and enrichment programs, field
space, crossing guards, and other services; and
WHEREAS, in 2017, the City and the District executed a three-year agreement to continue the
partnership until June 30, 2020; and
WHEREAS, given the significant unknowns related to school and recreation programming as a
result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City and the District extended the term of the existing agreement
for one year, until June 30, 2021; and
WHEREAS, staff from the City and the District believe it is prudent to extend the agreement for
an additional year to give both agencies, along with the City/District Liaison Committee, an opportunity
to review the agreement in detail and determine which adjustments, if any, are needed going forward.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council approves Amendment Two to the Agreement for Joint Use, Maintenance,
Operation, and for Maintaining a Strong Collaborative Relationship between the City of
Burlingame and the Burlingame School District with the Burlingame School District.
2. The City Council authorizes and directs the City Manager to execute Amendment Two for
and on behalf of the City.

foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 711 day of June,
2021, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
