PURCHASE OF WATER METERS Kirkup reviewed with Council, reports, memos, and discussions since August, pertaining to the purchase of water meters. A representative from Rockwell and from Neptune presented information in reply toquestions regarding maintenance, construction of meters, andguarantees. Counej-l will consider information and make a selectionat the December 21 meeting. 3. PEAK HOUR CAPAC]TY ANZA AREA A memo from the City Planner was distributed to Council apprising them that Anza area was approaching peak hour capacity with permitscurrently issued. The memo suggested new procedures being used indealing with new projects and requesLed additional criteria fromCouncil in establishing permit priorities on new projects. There was agreement that some manner of prioritization of projects be established. This would avoj-d permit stoppages by unreasonableproject requests that would be normally issued if the procedure to award "next in l-ine" requests were adhered to. After a discussion of the procedures suggested by the City Planner,it was agreed to adopt additional procedures 1-9 in dealing with new applicants. Concurrence was that no further procedures be considered pending input from the Planning Commission. PARKING LOT REARRANGEMENT Kirkup announced that plans for restriping parking lots and re- ducing small car slots have been drawn up and bids for the job will be ready by January. BURLINGAME PARK]NG ORD]NANCE AND IN LIEU PARKING POLICY fn view of the escalating costs of parking spaces and the lack of interest in changi-ng the use and appearance of buildings on Burlingame Avenue, the City Planner wished to know if the City should change the current in-lieu parking fee policy on that street. It was agreed that this would no longer be in effect and that 309 Burlingame Avenue parking District Resolution No. 3-76 shouldbe adjusted to reflect this. In line wj-th the above, Ordinance *l?l4, page 7 item 4, thewords "or by a fee in lieu" shaLl be stricken. There was discussion and agreement on changing the wording of firstparagraph, Section 8, so as to avoid confuaion. This ordinance will be submitted to re-hearing on January 4.Notice will be submitted to property or4rners. ltem No. 7 on the agenda was delayed until the next meeting.
