RESOLUTION NO.025-2021
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE
AGREEMENT WITH BAY AREA GEOTECHNICAL GROUP FOR THE GEOTECHNICAL
OBSERVATION, SPECIAL INSPECTION, AND MATERIAL TESTING SERVICES FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW COMMUNITY CENTER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $460,650, CITY PROJECT NO.83240
WHEREAS, on February 3, 2020, the City Council approved an agreement with Bay Area
Geotechnical Group (BAGG) for the geotechnical observation, special inspection, and material testing
services for the construction of the new Community Center; and
WHEREAS, additional work by BAGG is necessary to responsibly complete the project,
including environmental profiling of soil, the addition of auger cast concrete piles for the underground
garage, and shop welding inspections; and
WHEREAS, the additional work has exhausted the existing contract amount with BAGG;
and
WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $133,400 are necessary to complete the
construction of the new Community Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
RESOLVES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council authorizes an additional $133,400 be added to the BAGG contract.
The City Manager is authorized to execute an amendment to the original contract
reflecting a not -to -exceed amount of $460,650.

resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 15th day of March 2021
and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
