RESOLUTION NO. 009-2021
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A $15,000 DONATION AND FURTHER
AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2020-21 ADOPTED
BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FROM THE DONATION TO THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT JAIL RENOVATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Burlingame Police Department has been offered a generous donation
from a private donor, with the condition that funds be used to augment costs associated with the
jail renovation project; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police believes that the acceptance of the donation with the
condition will benefit the health and welfare of Police Department employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that this donation, including its condition,
has a purpose consistent with City goals and objectives.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The $15,000.00 donation is accepted, and the funds will be directed to the jail renovation project.
The City Manager is authorized to adjust the Fiscal Year 2020-21 budget to include the necessary
appropriations for the expenditure of grant funds described above.
