GARBAGE INCINERATOR 1N REDW OOD CITY
Councilman Amstrup inquired if city could have
proposed incinerator for San Francisco garbage
Port of Redwood City.
Council discussed its concerns: additional garbage trucks on freeway
to add to traffic problems; whether BFI was involved; residue from
incinerator would go to 0x Mountain. Mayor Martin noted each time the
county supervisors deal with San Francisco they lose. For insLance
when 2BO freeway was bui1t, we were promised the watershed lands would
be opened for recreational use; we are sti11 waiting. Council
requested staff get more information on this matter.
