CALL TO ORDER
A dury noticed speeiar meeting of the Burringame city councilherd on the above date in city HaIl conference Room A. The meewas called to order at 5:02 p.m. by Mayor Gloria Barton.

TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Councilman Amstrup and Vice Mayor Pagliaro indicated that thepose for this meeting was to review the discussions to date bySan Mateo County Transportation Advisory Commi.ttee concerningproposed harf-cent sales tax proposed for the November barThey both fert that if the city is going to influence these disions we must make our city position known at the committee meon lvlay 15.
councilman Pagliaro indicated that he supported the originalcounty Engineers proposals but fert that there wourd be probwith grade separations in some cities such as Burlingame.man tunstrup indicated, he had discussed with SamTransfunding for BART to the Airport and that even if fundsavairable, this courd not be accomprished until the year 2000.have an immediate need to support the continuation of CalTraj.npurchase the existing SP right of way.
After considerabre discussion, the councir agreed on the forproposal as the City of Burlingame's position for presentationthe Transportation Advisory Committee.

REPRESENTATION ON COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
Since the cities represent over 90 percent of the population of the
County, the City of Burlingame believes that the make up of theauthority should be:
5 representatives elected by Council of Mayors
2 members of the Board of Supervisors
