This letter
is
being
sent
to you on
behalf of the Ray
Park
residents,
who
signed
the
enclosed
petition.
Since our properties are in close proximity to the
baseball diamond, we receive the maximum noise and traffic
problems from the visitors attending the softball games.
A second baseball diamond has been added to the Park
so the crowds and traffic have increased twofold. On June
15th - Father's Day, there were teams here from as far away
as Morgan Hill. Large vehicles were parked on both sides of
this narrow street. Because of this I had to exit my own
driveway blindly and narrowly missed a collison with another
car. Traffic control should be a priority for all our safety.
We do understand the importance of the girl's softball
leagues and that they are entitled to use the Park facilities
for their games which they now do, Monday through Saturday.
These games begin early a.m. on Saturday and finish late, now
some Sundays have been included.
Our neighboring Parks are not being utilized to the
same extent as Ray Park is. Last Easter Saturday none of
them had any games scheduled, yet here at Ray Park the games
went on all day.
Our request is that no games be scheduled on Sundays
at Ray Park, this is very important to all of us and we
would appreciate your help.
Thanking you.
Sincerely,
Sarah O'Connor
