The award recognized the City's recently completed Golf and Soccer Centers at Bayside Park. I accepted the award, along with Peter Callander of Callander Associates, at the awards program and we will display the plaque at the Golf Center. Also recognized at this event was Park Maintenance Worker Ben Caldwell. Ben was honored with an individual Award of Excellence for his work in relandscaping the Recreation Center atrium in a Japanese bonsai garden theme. His extra efforts in developing the landscaping and maintaining it have been exemplary and have provided a beautiful oasis in the busy Recreation Center complex. Staff and visitors alike have expressed their appreciation for the beautiful look we now enjoy in the Recreation Center atrium. Ben has asked that his plaque be displayed at the Recreation Center.
