AUGUST 5, 1982
The regularly scheduled Burlingame Beautification Commission meet-
ing was called to order Thursday, August 5, 1982, at 7:30 P.M. in
the City Hall by Chairman Bowling.

Present: Chairman Bowling, Commissioners Bacon, Carbon, Disco,
Levy, and Director Quadri.
Absent: Commissioners Hagstrom and Perry (excused)
MINUTES
The minutes of the June 3, 1982 meeting were approved as submitted.
CORRESPONDENCE
Copy of letter to Mr. Graeme Thomson from Director Quadri inform-
ing him that the Commission took his comments and/or suggestions
under advisement.
REPORTS
Commissioner Bacon
The "Bottle Bill" opponents have already raised over $1,000,000.
Director Quadri
Director Quadri reported on the settlement on the tree damage at
853 Paloma. Homeowner is to remove, replace with a 36" box size
tree, as selected from the official street tree list, and be re-
sponsible for water, fertilizer and maintenance of said tree for
a period of two years. Thereafter, the City of Burlingame will
be responsible for all care and maintenance of said tree.
Mrs. Reed of 1112 Drake would like help in caring for a heritage
on her property. The commission will consider this question at
a later meeting. Commissioner Carbon requested a list of heritage
trees on private property. Director Quadri will have a list at
the next commission meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
Commissioner Disco reported on the letters she had sent to Burl-
ingame Intermediate and Taylor Schools congratulating them for
their part in the "Clean Campus" program.
Commissioner Carbon asked status of El Camino Real beautification.
Director Quadri updated the commission. Various ideas for this
project were discussed.
OLD BUSINESS (cont'd.)
The Landscape Award was discussed. The committee reported on 2
nominations: 405 Primrose Road - patio of Horn Realty, and
1633 Old Bayshore, at Stanton - Burlingame
Office Center.
Meeting was adjourned by Chairman Bowling at 8:11 P.M.
