HomeMy WebLinkAboutMin - BC - 1982.10.07BURLINGAME BEAUTIFICATION COMMISSION October 7, 1982 The regularly scheduled Burlingame Beautification Commission meet- ing was called to order Thursday, October 7, 1982, at 7:30 PM in the City Hall by Chairman Bowling. POLL CALL Present: Chairman Bowling, Commissioners Carbon, Disco, Hagstrom, Levy, Perry, and Director Quadri. Absent: Commissioner Bacon (excused) MINUTES The minutes of the September 2, 1982 meeting were approved as sub- mitted. CORRESPONDENCE Agenda for the September 8, 1982 Regional Planning Committee/Litter Control Advisory Committee meeting with minutes of the June 9, 1982 meeting. Letter from Director Quadri to Mr. 0. Kazarian thanking him for his generous donation of $1,000 to the Helen D"Arcy Fragrance Garden. Letter from Chairman Bowling on behalf of the Beautification Commis- sion to Henry Horn & Sons congratulating them for their property being �-- chosen for the 1982 Beautification Award. REPORTS Commissioner Hagstrom Homeowner on the corner of Vancouver and Hillside severly pruned Sycamore. Commissioner Hagstrom informed omeowner of posse e con- sequences. Commission agreed that a letter to the mer- chants of Broadway encouraging a cleanup program of sidewalk areas in front of shops would be helpful. Director Quadri will contact the Chamber of Commerce re including letter in the Chamber Bulletin. Commissioner Disco There is a dead tree in the Bird Sanctuary.
