Commissioners VII. FROM THE FLOOR June 26, 1994 Burlingame Beautification Commission Burlingame City Hall 501 Primrose Road Burlingame, CA 94010 Gentlemen: We have been residing in our home on Clovelly Lane for almost forty-four years and for the first time we have a request to make to the City of Burlingame. since living in Burlingame we have had three trees on our front lawn - a Hawthorne, a Magnolia and most recently - an Evergreen Pear. In May, during a heavy wind, the pear tree blew over and was removed by the Park Department. This tree was located on our front lawn and not in a planter strip. We have since filled the square with lawn and we really like it much better without the tree. We have two large Junipers on either side of our front window and we feel that our landscaping is neat and attractive. Incidentally, for your information, we paid $80.00 to the City of Burlingame for the pear tree. There are homes on our street and others in the neighborhood that do not have trees in their front yards. We would be most appreciative if you would consider our request not to put another tree on our front lawn. Thank you. Very truly yours, Albert and Odette Vierra 1104 Clovelly Lane Burlingame, CA 94010 697-4870 zhr ck of A3ur6'pm SAN MATEO COUNTY CITY HALL-501 PRIMROSE ROAD BURLINGAME, CALIFORNIA 94010 July 12, 1994 Albert and Odette Vierra 1104 Clovelly Lane Burlingame, CA 94010 RE: REQUEST TO WAIVE REPLACEMENT OF CITY TREE AT 1104 CLOVELLY LN.
