RE: REQUEST TO REMOVE 6 PRIVATE TREES AT 1421 BELLEVUE AVENUE
Because of the number of trees involved, your permit application
for removal of 6 trees at the above address has been referred to
the Beautification Commission. They have scheduled a hearing on
this matter at their meeting of November 7, 1996.
The Commission meets in Conference room `A' at City Hall, 501
Primrose Road, at 5:30 p.m. should you wish to attend.

RE: TREE REMOVAL APPLICATION AT 1421 BELLEVUE AVENUE
The owners of the apartment building at 1421 Bellevue have
submitted an application to remove 1 pine tree (88" circumference),
and 5 acacia trees (6611, 7211, 4811, 2911, and 2511). My preliminary
inspection found sufficient reasons to process the application for
the pine tree, but not necessarily for the acacias. The applicant
also believes that there is no room for replacement of these trees.
Based on the number of issues involved, I believe this to be an
appropriate matter for Commission consideration. When a hearing
date has been set, the adjacent property owners will be notified.

RE: REQUEST TO REMOVE 6 PRIVATE TREES AT 1421 BELLEVUE AVENUE
At its regular meeting of November 7, 1996, the Burlingame
Beautification Commission voted 5-0-2 (absent) to grant permission
to remove 6 private trees and that replacement trees be required as
set forth in the Urban Reforestation ordinance. (Permit enclosed) .
This decision may be appealed in writing to the City Council before
their regularly scheduled meeting of December 2, 1996.

questions.
