Quadri Dear Mr. Quadri: We have started the several steps necessary to complete the replacement planting of two pine trees. However, there was a delay in starting, and there is work that should be done before the tress are planted. Enclosed is a copy of the reroofing permit from the City of Burlingame, and a copy of the signed contract for the refoofing which is scheduled to start on November 3", and be completed by November 130'. `-- We will grind out the existing stumps immediately after the roof is finished. However, we have learned that the Redwood retaining wall behind the stumps is failing, and likely will fail during the stumps removal. Thus, we should replace that wall, before we plant the replacement trees. We also have concrete work to be done, but the replacement trees can be planted prior to that work being completed. We will be glad to purchase the replacement trees by November 31, if you would prefer, and either leave them at the nursery, or have them delivered to our house, and placed in the ground as soon as the interfering work is done. We had attempted to start the roof work in June, but were not able to get the contract pinned down earlier, and the start was delayed. Also, the retaining wall work was not anticipated, but is necessary. We will keep you informed on our progress, and we anticipate the trees will be in the ground by early December. iaYours trulAA , f rold M.
